ISLANDA FLY&DRIVE 4X4 - TERRA DI ACQUA E FUOCO
UN TOUR UNICO, PAESAGGI MOZZAFIATO E AVVENTURE INDIMENTICABILI. 8 GIORNI E 7 NOTTI, NOLEGGIO DACIA DUSTER 4X4 E TENDA INCLUSO NEL PREZZO!
L’Islanda è una terra di estremi naturali, paesaggi mozzafiato e avventure indimenticabili. Viverla su un Duster 4×4 con una tenda sul tetto sarà un’esperienza straordinaria in un paesaggio variegato e selvaggio che vi porterà alla scoperta di un mondo di ghiacciai scintillanti, vulcani attivi, cascate spettacolari e sorgenti termali fumanti.
Guidare un veicolo 4×4 in Islanda significa essere pronti per le sfide del terreno accidentato e le condizioni meteorologiche imprevedibili, ma anche per l’opportunità di esplorare luoghi remoti e poco frequentati, lontani dal turismo di massa. Insomma, sarà un’avventura indimenticabile e fuori dai sentieri battuti più che una visita turistica alle classiche destinazioni islandesi.
Il percorso prevede tratti di asfalto e piste sterrate con diverse occasioni per affrontare guadi, con l’assistenza dell’organizzazione sempre a disposizione.
Il tutto in piena sicurezza grazie all’assistenza e alla competenza di Desartica, delle sue guide e di una esperienza maturata sin dal 1989.
Modalità di viaggio
Sono disponibili più possibilità:
- Volo e noleggio di Dacia Duster 4×4 con tenda sul tetto per due persone (eventuali passeggeri aggiuntivi potranno usufruire di una tenda a terra fornita dall’organizzazione)
- Volo e partecipazione come equipaggio su uno dei veicoli organizzazione (pernottamento in tenda a terra fornita dall’organizzazione)
- Traghetto per partecipazione con la propria vettura, nel qual caso occorre programmare con largo anticipo il viaggio con imbarco in Danimarca in quanto la traversata dura quasi 3 giorni comprensivi di una sosta di due giorni alle isole Faroe
Pernottamento in tenda, tranne ultima notte in Hotel (compreso nella quota). I pernottamenti saranno di tipo “a bivacco” ma sempre in aree attrezzate nei pressi di un rifugio. I servizi sono essenziali, ma i bagni e le docce calde sono sempre garantiti. Talvolta ci sarà la possibilità di dormire all’interno dei rifugi, in camerate. I rifugi non sono prenotabili in anticipo e il pagamento avviene direttamente in loco.
Comprese nella quota colazioni e cene in tendone dell’organizzazione.

Iceland is a land of natural extremes, breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable adventures. Experiencing it in a 4x4 Duster with a rooftop tent will be an extraordinary experience in a richly-varied and wild landscape that will take you to discover a world of glittering glaciers, active volcanoes, spectacular waterfalls and steaming thermal springs.
Driving a 4x4 vehicle in Iceland means being prepared for the challenges of rugged terrain and unpredictable weather conditions, but also for the opportunity to explore remote and less populated areas, far from mass tourism. In short, it will be an unforgettable and off-the-beaten-track adventure rather than a tourist visit to classic destinations of Iceland.
The track includes parts on asphalt and unpaved roads with several opportunities to face fords, with the assistance of the organization always available.
All in complete safety thanks to the assistance and expertise of Desartica, its guides and experience gained since 1989.
Way of travelling
More possibilities are available:
- Flight & rental of a Dacia Duster 4×4 with roof tent for two people (any additional passenger can avail a ground tent provided by the organization)
- Flight & participation as crew on one of the organization vehicles (overnight stay in a tent on the ground provided by the organization)
- Ferry for participation with your own car, in which case it is necessary to plan the trip well in advance with boarding in Denmark because the crossing lasts almost 3 days including a two-day stop in the Faroe Islands
Overnight stay in tent, except last night in hotel (included in the price). The overnight stays will be of the "bivouac" type but always in areas with facilities near a shelter. The services are basic, but toilets and hot showers are always guaranteed. Sometimes there will be the possibility of sleeping inside the shelters, in dormitories. The shelters cannot be booked in advance and payment takes place directly on site.
Breakfasts and dinners in the organization's tent are included in the fee.

Þingvellir - Geyser – Gullfoss – Hveravellir

Þingvellir è un simbolo della storia millenaria dell'Islanda perchè questo luogo è stato il palcoscenico del più antico parlamento d'Europa, l'Alþingi, fondato nel 930 d.C. Passeggeremo tra le stesse rocce e crepe dove gli antichi Islandesi si riunivano per discutere leggi, risolvere dispute e mantenere la pace. Il senso di antichità e la solennità di questo luogo storico sono palpabili ad ogni passo.
Ma Þingvellir è anche una meraviglia naturale. Questo sito è situato sulla Rift Valley Islandese, dove la placca tectonica euroasiatica e quella nordamericana si stanno allontanando l'una dall'altra. Þingvellir is a symbol of Iceland's thousand-year history because this place was the stage of the oldest parliament in Europe, the Alþingi, founded in 930 AD. We will walk among the same rocks and cracks where ancient Icelanders gathered to discuss laws, resolve disputes and keep the peace. The sense of antiquity and solemnity of this historic place is palpable at every step.
But Þingvellir is also a natural wonder. This site is located on the Icelandic Rift Valley, where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates are moving away from each other. This geological process creates a series of spectacular faults and cracks, such as the famous Almannagjá, which will be visited by walk.

Geyser è una delle destinazioni più affascinanti e spettacolari. Un luogo dove il potere della Terra si manifesta in modi stupefacenti e inaspettati. Una scenografia surreale di pozze di fango bollente, sorgenti termali e fumarole, uno spettacolo quasi fantascientifico degno di un viaggio extraterreste!
Il punto più scenografico è sicuramente Strokkur, un geyser che erutta regolarmente, sparando un getto d'acqua bollente fino a 30 metri nell'aria, creando uno spettacolo di forza e bellezza ineguagliabile. Centinaia sono i racconti e storie legate a questo luogo affascinante, che ci possono trasportare indietro nel tempo quando questi fenomeni erano considerai come doni degli dèi.

Geyser is one of the most fascinating and spectacular destinations. A place where the power of the Earth manifests itself in amazing and unexpected ways. A surreal scenography of pools of boiling mud, thermal springs and fumaroles, an almost science fiction spectacle worthy of an extraterrestrial journey!
The most stenographic point is for sure Strokkur, a geyser that regularly erupts, shooting a jet of boiling water up to 30 meters into the air, creating a spectacle of incomparable strength and beauty. There are hundreds of tales and stories linked to this fascinating place, which can transport us back to a time when these phenomena were considered gifts from the gods.

Cascate Gullfoss
Le Cascate Gullfoss sono una delle meraviglie naturali più iconiche d'Islanda, un vero e proprio capolavoro della natura. Le Cascate Gullfoss, o "Cascate d'Oro," prendono il nome dal loro incredibile colore dorato che sembra scintillare al sole e comprendono due cascate che si gettano in un profondo canyon, creando uno spettacolo di forza e bellezza ineguagliabile. Il rumore dell'acqua che si infrange e le nuvole d'acqua nell'aria ci immergeranno completamente in questa esperienza sensoriale.

Gullfoss waterfalls are one of Iceland's most iconic natural wonders, a true masterpiece of nature. Gullfoss Falls, or "Golden Falls," take their name from its incredible golden color that seems to sparkle in the sun and they include two waterfalls flowing into a deep canyon, creating a show of unmatchable strength and beauty. The sound of tapping water and clouds of water in the air will completely immerse us in this sensory experience.

Kjölur
Il viaggio procede nel Kjölur, una delle strade più affascinanti, tra paesaggi mozzafiato e panorami nel cuore dell'Islanda selvaggia. Il Kjölur è una pista sterrata che si estende attraverso l'Altopiano Interno dell'Islanda, collegando il Sud con il Nord del paese, avventurosa e suggestiva oltre che perfetta per coloro che cercano una vera e propria avventura perché è un vero e proprio viaggio nel deserto, attraverso campi di lava nera e fiumi glaciali che regala panorami indescrivibili.

The journey proceeds along Kjölur, one of the most fascinating roads, among breathtaking landscapes and panoramas in the heart of wild Iceland. Kjölur is an unpaved road that extends across the Inner Plateau of Iceland, connecting the South with the North of the country, adventurous and evocative as well as perfect for those looking for a real adventure because it is a real journey into a desert, through black lava fields and glacial rivers which offers indescribable views.

Giorno 3 - Akureyri – Laugafell

Akureyri
Dopo colazione, si prosegue verso nord, sempre sulla pista Kjölur, fino a giungere a Akureyri, la "Perla del Nord", la più grande città dell'Islanda settentrionale magicamente affacciata sul fiordo Eyjafjörður, dove si effettuerà una sosta per la spesa.

Poi, si torna nell’interno, in direzione sud, su una pista che risale anche il letto di un fiume per una guida emozionante.
Day 3 - Akureyri – Laugafell

After breakfast, we continue in the north direction, again on the Kjölur track, until we reach Akureyri, the "Pearl of the North", the largest city in northern Iceland magically overlooking the Eyjafjörður fjord, where we will stop for some shopping.

Then, We return inland, in the south direction, on a track that also goes up on the bed of a river for an exciting ride.

Giorno 4 - Spregisandur - Landmannalaugar

Si tratta della famosa via degli altipiani, uno dei luoghi più remoti e incontaminati dell'Islanda, attraverso lo Spregisandur, un vasto deserto che offre un'esperienza unica di bellezza selvaggia in un mondo senza tempo, con paesaggi vasti e aperti che sembrano estendersi all'infinito. Un luogo di difficile accesso, isolato e solitario, per raggiungere il quale si attraversano campi di lava nera e fiumi. Nonostante la sua apparente aridità, lo Spregisandur è il luogo ideale per la vita selvaggia ed è possibile avvistare uccelli migratori, renne e talvolta perfino volpi artiche.

Le emozioni della guida in 4x4 proseguiranno fino a Landmannalaugar, una delle gemme più preziose dell'Islanda, situata nelle remote Highlands islandesi, che è famosa per i suoi paesaggi multicolori, sorgenti termali ed escursioni mozzafiato. Il paesaggio è dipinto con tonalità di rosso, giallo, verde e blu, frutto di depositi di riolite e alghe termofile che danno vita a sfumature uniche, creando un'atmosfera surreale.
Non manca un complesso di sorgenti termali naturali che daranno l’occasione di immergersi in una enorme pozza di acqua calda mentre si ammira il paesaggio circostante.

Day 4 - Spregisandur - Landmannalaugar

This is the famous highland road, one of the most remote and unspoilt places in Iceland, through Spregisandur, a vast desert that offers a unique experience of wild beauty in a timeless world, with vast and open landscapes that seem endlessly extending. A place that is difficult to access, isolated and solitary, to reach which you black lava fields and rivers need to be crossed. Despite its apparent aridity, Spregisandur is an ideal place for wild life and it is possible to spot migratory birds, reindeer and sometimes even arctic foxes.

The thrills of 4x4 driving will continue to Landmannalaugar, one of Iceland's most precious gems, located in the remote Icelandic Highlands, which is famous for its multicolored landscapes, hot springs and breathtaking hikes. The landscape is painted with shades of red, yellow, green and blue, the result of deposits of rhyolite and thermophilic algae which bring to life unique shades, creating a surreal atmosphere.
There is also a complex of natural thermal springs that will give us the opportunity to immerse in a huge pool of hot water while admiring the surrounding landscape.

Spregisandur / Landmannalaugar
Giorno 5 - Laki
​
Dopo la colazione si affronta un’altra indimenticabile pista islandese. Il percorso si alterna tra terreni ricoperti di muschio e fiumi in uno scenario inimmaginabile, vario e affascinante, circondato da montagne, valli, campi di lava, fiumi glaciali, cascate nascoste e una varietà di formazioni geologiche uniche con terreni dai colori che variano dal nero al rosso fino al verde brillante.
​
Dopo un breve tratto sulla N1 si punta nuovamente verso l’interno per raggiungere Laki, luogo di straordinaria bellezza naturale dominato dalla catena montuosa di Laki, composta da una serie di coni vulcanici, creste e fenditure eruttive. Questa catena si estende per circa 25 chilometri ed è il risultato di una delle più grandi eruzioni vulcaniche dell'Islanda, avvenuta tra il 1783 e il 1784. Questi campi di lava, noti come "Eldhraun," sono famosi per la loro bellezza surreale e il terreno ondulato ricoperto di muschi.
​
Le eruzioni avvenute in questi luoghi hanno avuto impatti devastanti distruggendo terreni agricoli e causando carestie oltre a rilasciare enormi quantità di gas vulcanici in atmosfera influenzando il clima e causando un raffreddamento globale noto come "l'inverno lungo."

Day 5 - Laki

After breakfast we will deal with another unforgettable Icelandic track. The path alternates between moss-covered terrain and rivers in an unimaginable, varied and fascinating scenery, surrounded by mountains, valleys, lava fields, glacial rivers, hidden waterfalls and a variety of unique geological formations with colored grounds ranging from black to red up to bright green.
After a short section on the N1 we head inland again to reach Laki, a place of extraordinary natural beauty dominated by the Laki mountain range, made up of a series of volcanic cones, ridges and eruptive fissures. This range extends for approximately 25 kilometers and it is the result of one of Iceland's largest volcanic eruptions, which occurred between 1783 and 1784. These lava fields, known as "Eldhraun," are famous for their surreal beauty and the rolling terrain covered with mosses.
The eruptions that occurred in these places had devastating impacts, destroying agricultural land and causing famine as well as releasing enormous quantities of volcanic gases into the atmosphere, influencing the climate and causing a global cooling known as the "long winter."

Laki
Giorno 6 - Jökulsárlón (laguna iceberg) – Vik
​
La laguna glaciale di Jökulsárlón, situata sulla costa sud dell'Isola di Ghiaccio e Fuoco, è nota come la gemma d’Islanda e offre uno spettacolo di iceberg e ghiacciai. E’ è il risultato del ritiro del ghiacciaio Breiðamerkurjökull, che si estende dall’entroterra fino alla costa. L'acqua di fusione del ghiacciaio crea una laguna costiera punteggiata da iceberg che si staccano dal ghiacciaio e galleggiano lentamente verso il mare aperto. Una delle esperienze più memorabili a Jökulsárlón è una gita in barca tra gli iceberg. Durante questa escursione in barca si ha l'opportunità di ammirare gli iceberg da vicino apprezzandone i colori incredibili, le forme bizzarre mentre si è invasi da una sensazione di pace.
Il ponte di diamanti, una spiaggia di sabbia nera punteggiata da frammenti di ghiaccio trasportati dalla corrente, regalerà la magia di una passeggiata su un tappeto di diamanti.
Dopo la ripartenza lungo la N1, si raggiunge Vik, la "Perla Nera", una pittoresca città situata sulla costa meridionale che è circondata da maestosi paesaggi naturali.

Day 6 - Jökulsárlón (iceberg lagoon) – Vik
​
The Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, located on the south coast of the Isle of Ice and Fire, is known as the gem of Iceland and it offers a spectacle of icebergs and glaciers. It is the result of the withdrawal of Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, which extends from the hinterland to the coast. Meltwater from the glacier creates a coastal lagoon dotted with icebergs coming off from the glacier and slowly floating out to the sea. One of the most memorable experiences in Jökulsárlón is a boat trip among the icebergs. During this boat excursion you have the opportunity to admire the icebergs up close, appreciating their incredible colors and bizarre shapes while being invaded by a feeling of peace.
The diamond bridge, a black sand beach dotted with fragments of ice carried by the current, will gift the magic of a walk on a carpet of diamonds.
After restarting along the N1, we will reach Vik, the "Black Pearl", a picturesque town located on the southern coast that is surrounded by majestic natural landscapes.

Giorno 7 - Reynisfjara - Skogafoss
​
La spiaggia di Reynisfjara, situata vicino a Vik, è una delle spiagge di sabbia nera più famose al mondo. Qui, le potenti onde dell'Atlantico si infrangono contro le colonne basaltiche nere, creando uno spettacolo impressionante tra le formazioni rocciose denominate gli organi del diavolo che compongono una scogliera di pilastri basaltici a base esagonale con due maestosi faraglioni Reynisdrangar che emergono dal mare. Un luogo pervaso di magia e ambientazione di antiche fiabe e leggende, tra qui quella che racconta l’origine dei faraglioni, due enormi troll trasformati in pietra dal Sole perché sorpresi a rubare una nave. La spiaggia è anche abitata da colonie di uccelli marini, come il pulcinella di mare che nidifica nei pressi delle grotte della scogliera. Tanta bellezza si accompagna ad altrettanta pericolosità per chi si dovesse avventurare incautamente sulla riva, a causa di onde anomale (chiamate sneaker waves) che si alzano in modo imprevedibile e c’è il rischio di venire risucchiati da un forte risacca e venire trascinati al largo.
E’ prevista una salita sul promontorio di Dyrhólaey, un punto panoramico per godere della vista spettacolare della costa e ammirare l'arco naturale di Dyrhólaey e le colonie di pulcinella di mare che si radunano sulla scogliera.
La tappa successiva si snoda tra le cascate di Skogafoss e Seljalandsfoss. Skogafoss è una cascata alta 60 metri ed è famosa per il suo potente flusso d'acqua, mentre Seljalandsfoss offre l'opportunità di camminare dietro la cascata.
Rientro a Reykjavik, riconsegna delle vetture e pernottamento in hotel.
Day 7 - Reynisfjara - Skogafoss
​
Reynisfjara beach, located near Vik, is one of the most famous black sand beaches in the world. Here, the powerful waves of the Atlantic crash against the black basalt columns, creating an impressive sight among the rock formations called the devil's organs that are part of a cliff of hexagonal basalt pillars with two majestic Reynisdrangar stacks emerging from the sea. A place pervaded by magic and the setting of ancient fairy tales and legends, including the one explaining the origin of the stacks, two enormous trolls transformed into stone by the Sun because they were caught stealing a ship. The beach is also inhabited by colonies of sea birds, such as the puffin which nests near the caves in the cliff. Such a great beauty is accompanied by a corresponding great danger for those who carelessly venture onto the shore, due to anomalous waves (called sneaker waves) that rise unpredictably and there is the risk of being sucked into a strong undertow and being dragged out to sea .
A climb to the Dyrhólaey promontory is planned, a panoramic point to enjoy the spectacular view of the coast and admire the natural arch of Dyrhólaey and the colonies of puffins that gather on the cliff.
The next stop develops between the Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Skogafoss is a 60 meter high waterfall and is famous for its powerful flow of water, while Seljalandsfoss offers the opportunity to walk behind the waterfall.
Back to Reykjavik, drop of the cars and overnight stay in a hotel.

In questi casi Desartica metterà le variazioni necessarie in accordo con le autorità locali, nell’ottica di privilegiare sempre la sicurezza dei Partecipanti.
LA QUOTA COMPRENDE: (valida per un minimo di 10 iscritti)
• Noleggio di Dacia Duster 4x4 con tenda sul tetto
• Tutti i pernottamenti a bivacco previsti nel programma in campeggio/aree autorizzate
• 1 notte in Hotel a Reykjavik
• Tenda e materassino per i passeggeri oltre ai primi 2
• Accompagnatore italiano esperto al seguito con 4×4 di assistenza
• Assicurazione medico bagaglio AXA (o similare)
• Apparecchiature di comunicazione tra veicoli
• Disponibilità di attrezzatura off-road (pale, corde traino, etc)
• Addestramento alla guida in 4×4
• Pasti caldi serali e colazione
Nota: i servizi erogati sono calcolati per un minimo di 12 Partecipanti. Se il viaggio verrà confermato con meno partecipanti l'organizzazione si riserva di eliminare qualche servizio che verrà comunicato mezzo mail agli iscritti senza snaturare lo spirito del viaggio.

• Trasferimenti da e per aeroporti;

Formula with rental of Dacia Duster 4x4 with roof tent for two people
• Minimum crew: 2 people / Maximum crew: 4 people
• Participation fee €1,950 per person (minimum 2 participants)
• Participation fee for additional passenger up to 12 years: €900
• Participation fee for additional passengers over 12 years: €1,100
Additional passengers to the 2 crew members will benefit of a ground tent provided by the organization.
Participation formula as a passenger on one of the organization vehicles

NOTES
Due to the type of itinerary, scheduled in "difficult" areas, there may be even significant program/route changes resulting from atmospheric events, safety problems, revocations of authorizations. In these cases Desartica will make the necessary changes in agreement with the local authorities, always giving priority to the safety of Participants.

• Experienced Italian guide accompanying you with 4x4 assistance
• AXA medical baggage insurance (or similar)
• Vehicle-to-vehicle communication equipment
• Availability of off-road equipment (shovels, tow ropes, etc)
• Training for 4x4 driving
• Hot evening meals and breakfast
Note: the services provided are calculated for a minimum of 12 Participants. If the trip is confirmed with fewer participants, the organization reserves the right to eliminate some services which will be communicated by email to registered participants without distorting the spirit of the trip.
